DESCRIPTION
A square kundan stone sits framed in black at the ear, ringed by silver beads that radiate outward like a small sun. Below it a smooth oxidised dome opens into a scalloped hem hung with pearls. The contrast between the flat polished dome and the darkened fretwork beneath is deliberate, a Mughal habit that never went out of use. Wear them with your hair up and your neckline high. Worn by women who were never meant to blend in.
How to style it
These read beautifully with a high neck or a closed collar where the jhumka has clean space beneath it. Black, ivory and deep wine all flatter oxidised silver; avoid busy prints near the face. Hair up in a bun or a tight braid. Wear them to receptions, festive dinners and family celebrations.
