A hammered square frame in oxidised silver holds a small cluster of pearls at its centre, set into a darkened well so the light has somewhere to fall. The edges are left rough on purpose, the mark of a hand and a hammer rather than a mould. This is the kind of everyday ornament that tribal silversmiths made for daughters, small enough to never take off. Wear it with everything, from a cotton shirt to a Chanderi saree. How to style it
