An engraved brass bar hangs at the centre, cast in the Dhokra way with a leaf motif raised across its face, flanked by small square charms hand-painted in meenakari enamel with a peacock in red, green and gold. Green and red glass beads run along a multicoloured braided cord to the clasp. Two crafts meet in one piece: the lost-wax brass of tribal Chhattisgarh and the miniature enamel of the courtly workshops. You carry history, not trends.

Style Note

Wear it over an ivory or ecru kurta with a mandarin collar so the braided cord shows and the enamel charms catch the light. Cream, white and soft green all step back and let the peacock speak. Keep the ears to a small gold stud. Right for festival days and the quieter family evenings between them.
