DESCRIPTION
A textured Dhokra pendant, ridged like a woven basket, sits at the centre of a strand of polished black beads broken by fluted brass barrels. The basket weave is not stamped but built in fine wax threads before casting, the signature of Dhokra metalwork. The matching earrings drop a granulated sphere below a single black bead. Dark stone against warm brass is an old pairing, and still the surest one. Worn by women who were never meant to blend in.
Style Note
