DESCRIPTION
A breeze of tradition, woven in brass and thread — Pankhari is a fan motif Dhokra necklace.
Pankhari (meaning "petal" or "fan-like form" in Hindi) is a delicate ode to the symmetry and grace found in tribal art. Crafted by Gond artisans of Bastar, this pendant features a mesmerizing fan or floral pattern, coiled in intricate lost-wax Dhokra work that mirrors peacock feathers or wind-carved petals.
Suspended from hand-dyed green threads and paired with tribal coil beads, the necklace balances earthy elegance with ancient symbolism. Every piece is one-of-a-kind — sculpted first in wax, encased in clay, then cast in glowing molten brass.
Tribe of Origin: Gond & Dhurwa Tribes, Bastar (Chhattisgarh)
The Gond and Dhurwa communities see nature as divine — and their Dhokra art reflects leaves, seeds, wind, and spirit animals. This piece draws inspiration from ritual fans used in forest temples.
